Towards a Scientific Foundation for Engineering Cognitive Systems

چکیده

For more than ten years, beginning in the early 2000s, the European Commission has been supporting targeted research in the fields of Cognitive Systems and Robotics. In this note we discuss the rationale of the underlying research agenda (including its relevance to the BICA challenge), structure the large set of funded projects, and outline perspectives for future research.
